Steve Brown
Steve Brown is the General Manager of Jenn-Air, overseeing all aspects of business strategy, sales, marketing and distribution. Steve has held a number of sales and marketing roles. Most recently he was Cooking Category Director where he oversaw the development of Whirlpool Corporation’s new cooking products for the past several years, including the KitchenAid® Architect® Series II and new Jenn-Air® product lines. Prior to that, Steve served more than eight years in Whirlpool’s European headquarters in Comerio, Italy, where he managed Whirlpool Europe’s dishwasher, washer and dryer businesses. While in Europe Steve also created, launched, and oversaw the first three years of rapid growth of a new business in partnership with IKEA, the world’s largest furniture retailer.  Before joining Whirlpool, Steve served in the MBA Enterprise Corps, a USAID-funded non-profit organization assisting privatizing companies in countries transitioning to market economies. During his tenure in this program, Steve lived in the Czech Republic for two years working for a local home appliance manufacturer.Steve received his MBA and Bachelor of Architecture degrees from Cornell University. Prior to receiving his MBA, Steve practiced architecture, working with several notable firms, including Frank O. Gehry & Associates and the New York office of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. He is a past National Fundraising Co-Chair for Cornell University, and an Associate member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).Steve lives in Southwest Michigan with his wife Judy, their eight-year-old daughter Chloe and four-year-old son Max.
